Em eleição que aconteceu na terça-feira, 7 de novembro, a educadora Yvonne Spicer foi eleita a primeira prefeita de Framingham em 317 anos. Spicer que assumirá a prefeitura em 1º de janeiro de 2018, derrotou John Stefanini.
Aos 55 anos, Yvone Spicer é novata na política e já havia levado vantagem sobre Stefanini na eleição primária em setembro passada. Na terça-feira, Yvonne Spicer obteve 9,128 votos; John Stefanini obteve 6,455 votos.
Para o cargo de City Council at Large, Cheryl Tully Stoll com 8,391 votos e George P. King Jr, com 6,864 votos foram os eleitos. Christine A. Long com 6,844 e o brasileiro Pablo Maia que obteve 1,583 votos não conseguiram se eleger. A também brasileira Margareth Basilio Shepard se elegeu City Council pelo Distrito 7 com 587 votos.

Why the article refers to some district counsel’s as the Brazilian? Do they carry dual citizenship? American-Brazilian citizenship’s? When Arnold Schwarzenegger’s was elected California Goveenor years ago was written American-Austrian citizenship on the U.S. newspapers? Maybe Arnold gave up Austrian citizenship all together for America citizenship in order to be elected as a governor and maybe path to the White House as the second Hollywood president?!?! It maybe be wrong all together or there’s a possibility of certain differentials
which may end up well as mayor elected and council’s works fairly for a town worth leaving.
